When you use an Advanced Integration service, defined the business fault with the complex type as the fault message, and the response message is the designed fault with the complex type content, you see the following exception: javax.transaction.TransactionRolledbackException: CORBA TRANSACTION_ROLLEDBACK 0x0 This exception prevents the business fault message from being returned to the process.

If the simple type is used as the fault message, the message can be correctly serialized. If the complex type is used as the fault message, the handler does not serialize the message and you receive the exception.
Problem conclusion
A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.5.0 that ensures the correct handler for complex type fault message is invoked in an Advanced Integration service. On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search for JR52094: 1.Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack level, and your platform, and then click Continue. 2.Select APAR or SPR, enter JR52094, and click Continue. When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for additional installation instructions and information about the fix.
