TM1 Web cannot open XLSX-files as websheets

Symptom

When you try to open a XLSX-file as a websheet in the MSIE web browser you are prompted with the MSIE File Download dialog box:

When you click the Button "Open" Excel 2007 will start and open your XLSX-file in three steps:

To open your XLSX-file will return the english Excel error message:

Microsoft Excel
Excel found unreadable content in '<filename>.xlsx.xlsx'. Do you want to recover the contents from this workbook? If you trust the source of this workbook choose 'Yes'.
Buttons: "Yes", "No"


The corresponding german Excel error message is:

Microsoft Excel
Von Excel wurde unlesbarer Inhalt in '<filename>.xlsx.xlsx' gefunden. Möchten Sie den Inhalt dieser Arbeitsmappe wiederherstellen? Wenn Sie der Quelle dieser Arbeitsmappe vertrauen, klicken Sie auf 'Ja'.
Buttons: "Ja", "Nein"

When you click the Button "Yes" Excel 2007 will return a repair message:

Repairs to '<filename>.xlsx.xlsx'
Excel was able to open the file by repairing or removing the unreadable content.
Excel completed file level validation and repair. Some parts of the workbook may have been repaired or discarded.
Button: "Close"


The corrresponding german repair message is:

Reparaturen in '<filename>.xlsx.xlsx'
Die Datei konnte von Excel geöffnet werden, indem der nicht lesbare Inhalt repariert oder entfernt wurde.
Excel hat die Überprüfung und Reparatur auf Dateiebene abgeschlossen. Einige Teile dieser Arbeitsmappe wurden repariert oder verworfen.
Button: "Schliessen"

When you click the Button "Close" Excel 2007 will open your XLSX-file.


Note:
Excel 2007 will only start when you use the MSIE web browser on your TM1 Web Server computer or when Excel 2007 is locally installed on your remote TM1 Web Client computer.
