Troubleshooting
Problem
I have installed IBM SPSS Statistics 19.0.0.1 on a Windows computer. The regional settings in my control panel are set to a non-English language where comma is used as decimal separator (e.g. French, Dutch or German). I have an Excel 2007 xlsx file and have noticed that when I import that file into SPSS the decimal precision is completely lost after import and therefore my data cell content is wrong. I tried with SET LOCALE = English or nl_Nl or German or French but nothing helped, what is wrong?
