• Apply fails with error message
  315 Error 2 Apply false DIRECT10 Failed to add a row to table
  IIDR102.DIR0001. C1: [1.0] C2: [2013-04-17 15:52:37] .
  Database operation failed.
  A SQL exception has occurred. The SQL error code is '1856'. The
  SQL state is: HY000. The error message is:
  [CDC][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-01856: BC/B.C.
  There could be other errors on the target fastload refresh
  There could be other errors on source for refresh
  

Local fix

• Change the default oracle session parameters for all sessions
  ALTER SYSTEM SET NLS_TERRITORY='AMERICA';
  ALTER SYSTEM SET NLS_LANGUAGE='AMERICAN';
  ALTER SYSTEM SET NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE='AMERICAN';
  

Problem summary

• Apply fails with an error similar to the following:
  
  315 Error 2 Apply false DIRECT10 Failed to add a row to table
  IIDR102.DIR0001. C1: [1.0] C2: [2013-04-17 15:52:37] .
  Database operation failed.
  A SQL exception has occurred. The SQL error code is '1856'. The
  SQL state is: HY000. The error message is:

  There could be other errors on the target fastload refresh
  There could be other errors on source for refresh
  
  This issue affects customers running IIDR 10.2 for Oracle Redo
  and Oracle Trigger with language/territory/date set at database
  level to values different from north america.
  

Problem conclusion

• This issues is fixed by applying the following interim fixes
  depending on the database flavor:
  - IIDR 10.2 Interim Fix 1 for Oracle Redo, or
  - IIDR 10.2 Interim Fix 1 for Oracle Trigger.
  

Temporary fix

• Change the default oracle session parameters for all sessions
  
  ALTER SYSTEM SET NLS_TERRITORY='AMERICA';
  ALTER SYSTEM SET NLS_LANGUAGE='AMERICAN';
  ALTER SYSTEM SET NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE='AMERICAN';
