Does SPSS GLM use a pooled error term in computing standard errors for estimated marginal means?

Troubleshooting

Problem

I'm running the SPSS GLM (or UNIANOVA) procedure, with equal sample sizes in my groups. I've noticed that despite the fact that the standard deviations for my dependent variable(s) are different across groups, the standard errors for the estimated marginal means are the same for EMMEANS corresponding to the same dependent variable. This seems to imply that the procedure is using a pooled error term at the between subjects level. Is this the case?
