Problem
I am running a hierarchical cluster analysis (CLUSTER command) in SPSS. I have only 10 variables and 500 cases. The Cluster job has been executing for 10 minutes. There have been no warnings about insufficient memory. I understand that the memory requirements for Cluster vary with the square of the number of cases,so that this job should only require approximately 2 mb of RAM. Does the execution time reflect a memory shortage or some other problem?
