APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• As PMR#51132,999,760, we received the following problem report:

  DataStage Designer aborts by the following steps:
  
  1. Import the following job which includes ABAP Stage.
  2. Open the ABAP Stage
  3. Click "Generate Program" once, it returns.
  4. Click "Generate Program" once again. DataStage Designer
  aborts.
  
  When I recreated it on my PC, MS Visual Studio showed the
  following
  message:
  
  Unhandled exception at 0x066e739a of DSDesign.exe
  0xC0000005: Access violation at loading address 0x00000000
  
  What should we do for it?

  I talked with L3 about this issue and I confirmed that the fix
  is included in 521 and it would take 7 - 10 days for preparing
  the patch for the issue. But at that time, customer had no time
  to wait for a patch. And it was no time and risky to do release
  up to 521. So I asked L3 to provide a workaround for the
  customer.
  After that customer knows that the ABAP code would be changed
  once a half year. Though he wa thinking about release-up to 521,
  he decided to postpone it. Now the patch request was raised.
  

Local fix

• Temporary workaround has been offerred, but now it is not enough
  for customer's job.

Problem conclusion

• Determined that only replacing sqlsupp.dll with the one from 521
  ga resolved the problem. I verified the code in sci and the 521
  ga code for sqlsupp is identical with 52 maint as of today.
  So sending the library from 521 GA as a patch.
