Error description

  • If you start with a Rational Rose model that validates cleanly,
then import that into Rational Data Archiect and then export it
back to Rose, the model comes back with circle M's and duplicate
     unique ids.
Below are the steps to duplicate this issue:
    1. Open your Rose model and perform a Tools -? Check Model
    note: there are no warnings
    2. Import the Model into RDA
     - Create a new Data Design Project
      - File -? Import -? Data -? Data Model Import Wizard
      - Select IBM Rational Rose 2000e to 2003 (MDL) for the Model F
    ormat
      - Select Logical for Model Type
      - Continue the import by taking the default options
    3. Export the model to Rose
    - File -? Export -? Data -? Data Model Import Wizard
      - Select IBM Rational Rose 2000e to 2003 (MDL) for the Model
    Format
      - Type a .mdl extension when entering file name (i.e. myrosemo
    del.mdl)
      - If you select Basic Validity Check, the export fails. Selec
ting No Validity Check will work, however the issues with the Ba
sic Validity check are probably related to the Rose circle M iss
ue after exporting with No Validity Check.
Note: No changes have been made in RDA
    4. Open the model in Rational Rose
note: You will see the Cirlce M's on your diagrams
