Mann-Whitney U statistic in SPSS differs from some books, other software, but p-values are the same

Troubleshooting

Problem

I'm running a Mann-Whitney U test in SPSS and comparing results with other software and a text. I find that in the text and other software the U value is larger than that given in SPSS, but the p-value or significance is the same. Why is there a discrepancy?
