IZ97076: MONMAN PROCESS MEMORY LEAKS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Event processing is generating java memory allocation errors.
  This is
  causing events not to process.  This has happened 2 days in a
  row.
  Today I switched the eventprocessor to the backup master, and
  then the
  cpu utilization dropped dramatically.  I have include info from
  data
  gather from the master, snap and heapdumps of WAS, output from
  TOP
  commands from yesterday, today before switching event processor
  and
  after switching event processor.
  

Local fix

• Work around - Recycle monman process as needed.
  

Problem summary

• This is a base problem for the event driven fea
  ture. If the customer uses this feature after several weeks/mont
  hs there is a memory increase of monman process. The leak is spe
  cially present when the agent has to deploy event rules often.
  

Problem conclusion

• This apar will be fixed into 8.5.1-TIV-TWS-F
  P0002,8.5.0-TIV-TWS-FP0003 and 8.4-TIV-TWS-FP0006.
