Problem
I am running SPSS. I ran the CROSSTABS procedure and requested the chi-square statistic. I noticed that the significance is under the heading "Asymptotic Significance (2 Sided)." I thought the chi-square statistic was a one-tailed test. What does this "2 sided" test refer to?
