APAR status

  • Closed as requirement.

Error description

  • Currently, the Lotus OEM ODBC Drivers and the NotesSQL driver
are only available in 32-bit.  While they can still be used on
64-bit platforms, they cannot be used by 64-bit applications.

Local fix

  • 1. Install the 32-bit version of the application if available,
and configure a data source in the 32-bit ODBC Driver Manager
(found in the SYSWOW64 folder)
2. Utilize an option that does have a 64-bit version.  For
example, OLE DB, the DB2 Connect Client, an Oracle Client - as
appropriate.
3. In the case of NotesSQL connecting to Domino, use a driver on
the Domino side, making Domino the source instead of the target,
thus avoiding using NotesSQL.
