Error description
Users are observing large font size on Notes client after upgrade to 8.5.1, which is not user friendly and they would like to have the Normal default font size. However the workaround provided in this SPR, regarding the OS level settings wont work at customer end. A notes.ini parameter "FontIncrease=4" keeps adding to client notes.ini , even after removing it and so the font size does not display as Normal.
Local fix
Use the following steps to display the Notes client application in a smaller font: In Windows XP: 1. Anywhere on the Windows Desktop, right-click and choose Properties. 2. On the Appearance panel, change the font size from Large or Extra Large to Normal. 3. Restart the operating system. In Windows Vista: If you want to adjust the display size of text on your Vista machine but not change the resolution or actual font size, there is a setting in Vista that only affects the visual display of text and icons. This makes reading your Notes e-mail and other applications much easier.
