Error description

  • -- In Lotus Notes 8.5 (windows XP sp3) clients, typing using
    Malayalam keyboard
driver in normal speed causes characters are duplicating in the
    body of the
message. If they type slowly then its fine.
-- Issue with both Basic and Standard clients (And can reproduce
    in their
    environment)
-- In any other applications like Notepad, Excel etc..no
    problem
-- With previous version of Notes Client 7.x etc - it worked
    fine
    -- No spell check enabled.
-- We tested by adding Malayalam unicode language - its too
    working fine.

Comments

  • This APAR is associated with SPR# SRYI7WFF57.
the driver the customer was using is not supported driver for
Notes and it was also inserting non-Unicode characters. Once I
changed the driver to Windows, everything worked smoothly.
Recommended customer to use the standard driver which uses
     Unicode Font.
