APAR status

Error description

  • When you install a language pack on the Domino server, the
    language pack installer adds the additional language support to
    all specified templates (in this case, mail85.ntf).  This
    process adds a "language" column to the template.
    
    The problem is that because templates are automatically enabled
    for replication, when the multi-lingual mail85 template
    replicates with a server that only has the standard mail85
    template, all additional language elements are added to the
    standard mail85 template but the "language" column is not.
    Because the standard mail85 template does not have the
    "language" column but contains all the new language elements,
    this causes all the additional language elements to be added to
    the mail files that inherit from the standard template when the
    Design task runs.  And once all the additional language elements
    are added to the mail files with the absence of the "language"
    column, mail is being delivered to the wrong inbox.
    
    This is making end users think that they are no longer receiving
    mail.
