LO42899: "OPERATION NOT CURRENTLY IMPLEMENTED" ERROR OCCURS WITH NOTESURL

APAR status

• Closed as duplicate of another APAR.

Error description

• "Operation not currently implemented" error occurs with NotesURL
  if specifying
  OpenDocument command.
  In case of HTTP URL, it does not occur.
  
  Domino/Notes 7.0.x, 8.0.2, 802FP1, 802FP1CCH2
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Unzip the following test sample and locate it to your domino
  serve
  
  2. Open the document "Document which includes sample link", then
  you can see
  some link sample.
      Please use them by setting your server name.

  3. On IE, try above the HttpURLs, i.e (1) and (2)
     Those works OK. The document "Document to be opened" is
  opened on IE as
  expected.
  
  4. On IE and/or address bar of Notes client, try the above Notes
  URL, i.e. (3)
  through (6)
  
  5. In case of (5), "Operation not currently implemented" error
  occurs. <--
  Problem
     According to "Resolve method"  in HELP, the above URLs are
  acceptable.
  
  Note) It works OK if removing ?OpenDocument. Or it works if
  clicking that URL
  in the document.
  

Local fix

• Use the case (6) instead, or remove ?OpenDocument command.
  This issue is addressed in Notes  802CCH3 and in 8.5
