APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The apim.setvariable function or the set variable policy's
  attempt to set a message
  header with a period in the name, for example,
  message.headers.abc.def, would
  fail.  The DataPower logs would contain a RangeError log record.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The apim.setvariable function prohibited this behavior and threw
  an exception.  In lieu of an exception, the code was changed to
  properly handle this use case.
  

Problem conclusion

• Fix targeted for release in v5084 and an iFix following v5066.
