Error description
Non English characters in the first name of a Developer Portal user account generates the error message : "The credentials provided for authentication are invalid Please repeat the request with valid credentials. Please note that repeated attempts with incorrect credentials can lock the user account." Reproduction steps 1. In APIM UI, add a new devorg owner. 2. Click activation email, and enter a first name containing non-english characters (e.g. n with tilde, 'e' with a trema or diaeresis character) 3. Submit the activation details. 4. Observe that login fails.

Trying to create a user or login with a user name that has non-english characters (multibyte chars) in an IBM API Connect Portal configured in an IBM API Management Server, returns an error if the Portal site is configured with Portal Delegated User Registry (PDUR)
Problem conclusion
Multi language support is added in IBM API Connect v5.0.8.5 for user names in authentication between APIM and Portal with PDUR configuration
