Problem summary
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The compiler hangs or abnormally terminates when compiling a WHERE construct containing calls to the PACK/UNPACK intrinsics. For example: where (pack(..., mask(:))) ... elsewhere ... end where USERS AFFECTED: Fortran programmers who use pack/unpack as the mask expression in WHERE.
Problem conclusion
An internal mask expression for the WHERE statement was not being updated in the compiler, resulting in a recursive loop. The issue has been corrected.
