Error description

  • When compiling with -qmkshrobj, the compiler reports an error
    message 1586-491 (U) COMPILER LIMIT EXCEEDED: Insufficient
    virtual storage.". This error message does not occur when
    createing a executable or shared object enabled for runtime
    linking (-G option).
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • A defect in the IPA component of the compiler resulted in the
    compiler running out of virtual storage.
    

Problem conclusion

  •  The defect code was corrected and the memory
    problem no longer occurs.
