APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • While authoring a client-side human service flow diagram,
connector configuration options like "Save execution context of
layered task implementation" and "Update shared business objects
 when saving the execution context" can be turned on by default.
 These can be expensive runtime operations, and they should be
turned on only by default when the target of the connection is
an End or Postpone event. Having them on by default for other
cases can impact performance.

  • Verify the configuration for every connector in every
client-side human service to ensure these options are off unless
 needed.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix that disables the configuration options by default for
events that are not End or Postpone events will be available in
a future release of IBM Business Automation Workflow.
