APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The issue is identified while loading the data to  SAP using
load stage .
Customer is seeing Fatal error: Failed to convert the given
data to SAP Unicode.

Local fix

  • No Local Workaround.

Problem summary

  • In Pack version 4.3.3, migrated BW Load (PULL) job is failing
while loading data to SAP BW server with the following error :
Failed to convert the given data to SAP Unicode

Problem conclusion

  • Error produced while converting the source UTF8 data to SAP UC.
Issue is data specific and not platform specific. Code logic is
changed to fix this issue.
Fix available as patch for version 433 and 4331; will be present
in vNext.
