IBM Support

"Client name does not exist on the server" when logging into TM1 Architect

Troubleshooting

Problem

Customer has deployed TM1 as part of a Controller FAP functionality implementaton. Customer has already added a Cognos 8 BI namespace user (for example the user "NameSpaceID\Administrator") to the list of users in TM1. User launches 'Architect'. Inside "TM1 Architect: Server Explorer", user double-clicks on the TM1 service that they wish to log into. User tries to logon using a Cognos 8 BI namespace user (for example the user "NameSpaceID\Administrator"). User receives error message.
