  • Unable to load data to SAP using BW LOAD 7x stage for columns
starting with /

Problem summary


    

  • BW 7x Load Stage does not work for DataSource with the namespace
 fields for which names starts with "/" .
Job aborts at the Transfer Structure Validation stage i.e. the
job may abort with this type of error :
<Fatal Error: Transfer structure validation failed for the
field: <field-name>. Ensure that the transfer structure for
selected DataSource in SAP BW is updated correctly in job
design>

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Code fix: support "/" in field names. Note the other stages
(Load 3.x and Extract) already support this.
Fix available as a patch for version 4330 and will be present in
version 4331.
