Error description
Custom Attributes of type relationship between category and term are not published if there is no other change in the category. 1. Go into glossary development 2. Select any category 3. Edit the category 4. Click on any defined custom attribute that is a reference type of attribute (meaning it will search IGC and present a list of published terms OR only the published terms that match a search value that you put into the blank reference value field). 5. Click on the term (e.g. the reference value) from the search list (from step 4) that you want to link your category to. 6. Save the category 7. Send for approval 8. Approve it 9. Publish it 10. View (by clicking view in the top right corner) the category you just published, and you will see that the category does show the reference attribute and its linked value that you saved from steps 4-6. All good so far. NOTE THE CATEGORY NAME FOR THE NEXT STEP. 11. Switch to the Catalog 12. Search for the category from step 10. 13. Click on the category 14. You will see that when the category details display, there are no custom attributes displayed, which is different from step 10. If the customer does the following, it fixes the problem: 1. Switch back to glossary development. 2. Search for the category from step 10. 3. Select it to view the details 4. Click on the custom attribute reference data value that is linked to this category 5. The reference data item is now displayed (it's a business term). 6. Edit it. Make a simple edit like putting an extra space in one of the editable fields 7. Save it 8. Send for approval 9. Approve it 10. Publish it 11. Switch to the Catalog 12. Search for the category from step 10, again 13. Click on the category to view details 14. You will now see the custom attribute reference and its linked value.
