Troubleshooting
Problem
When attempting to test an ODBC data source connection using IBM Rational Insight, a login error is received: " ...The logon failed for the following reason: RQP-DEF-0068 Unable to connect to at least one database during a multi-database attach to 1 database..."
Symptom
The full error message is:
QE-DEF-0285 The logon failed.
QE-DEF-0324 The logon failed for the following reason:
RQP-DEF-0068 Unable to connect to at least one database during a multi-database attach to 1 database(s) in:
testDataSourceConnection
UDA-SQL-0569 Unable to load the driver manager library (libodbc.so).
UDA-SQL-0571 The operating system returned an error message ( libodbc.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64 ).

Cause
The IBM Cognos Business Intelligence server does not support 64-bit 3rd party libraries
Resolving The Problem
If you are using a 64-bit Linux operating system, you must install the 32-bit ODBC driver manager of your preference. Please refer to IBM Cognos techdoc 7017522 for more information regarding support for third party libraries.
Refer to the section titled Configuring the ODBC driver in the Rational Insight Information Center for more information on supported ODBC Driver Managers.
