LO80924: REPAIR FROM INSTALLATION BREAK NOTES FP ENVIRONMENT

APAR status

Error description

  • Afer repairing Notes Client 9.0.1 Standard with Fixpack 1 form
    Installation, the Notes Client can't start normally.
    
    Steps to reproduce
    
    1. Install Notes Client 9.0.1 Standard
    2. Applying Notes 9.0.1 fixpack 1 on the Notes 9.0.1
    3. Setup the Notes Client and confirm Notes 9.0.1FP1 work fine.
    4. Install Notes Client 9.0.1 Standard again
    5. Select "Repair" at "Program Maintenance" of "IBM Notes 9.0.1
    Social Edition - Install Wizard" and "Program Maintenance" and
    click "Next" it.
    5. After the repairing finish , start the Notes Client. The
    Notes client can't start with following message.
    
    ------------------------------
    IBM Notes failed to start successfully.
    
    To collect diagnostics, click Start>All Programs > IBM
    Application > Support > Collect IBM Notes diagnostics data, and
    leave Notes running.
    
    To resolve the issue, try reinstalling Notes.
    ------------------------------
    
    This issue is not reproduced on Notes 9.0.1 Basic's
    Installation.

  • Uninstall Fixpack 1 before repairing.
