Error description

  • ERROR DESCRIPTION:
When using INOTES_WA_USECHILDWINDOWFORALERTS=1 when multiple
alarms are supposed to be displayed only one is shown using
Internet Explorer

To reproduce the issue

1. Setup a Domino 853 Fp6 server
2. register a user
3. Using a notes client setup 3 meetings or appointments and
set alarms notifications for each one of the meetings

Example setup 3 meeting for 1:45 pm

4. Set the notes.ini INOTES_WA_USECHILDWINDOWFORALERTS=1 on the
server and restart the HTTP task
5. Access the mail database using IE
6. Await for the alarm check to run.  Only 1 missed alarm is
displayed instead of the expected 3.

When INOTES_WA_USECHILDWINDOWFORALERTS is not used all 3
notifications are displayed

Local fix

  • -do not use INOTES_WA_USECHILDWINDOWFORALERTS or set it to 0
