Deployment of XSLT maps on WebSphere Process Server (WPS) takes a long time when a connection to the Internet is from a proxy

Problem

When you deploy an application with XSLT maps on WebSphere Process Server V7.0, you might observe long deployment times (on average, three minutes per map).

Symptom

Deployment through the administrative console takes longer than normal and, occasionally, times out with or without the following FFDC exception:

Resolving The Problem

To resolve this issue, install interim fix JR35834, which is available as part of WebSphere Process Server Version 7.0.0 Fix Pack 2.
