APAR status

Error description

  • Using IBM Traveler admin ui to set the security setting that
    "Prohibit downloading for attachments" for Windows Phone does
    not filter the attachments. When the setting is enabled any
    email that has attachments will removed before the device
    receives the email. However, this is not happening. The user can
    still download the attachments and view the inline or embedded
    images.

Problem summary

  • Customer reported the prohibit download attachment security
    feature was not working correctly for Windows Phone devices.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The Notes Traveler server was updated to correctly honor setting
    for prohibit download of attachments to Windows based mobile
    devices.
