LO68034: SAVEFILEDIALOG FUNCTION CANNOT DISPLAY DEFAULT STRING

APAR status

• Closed as fixed if next.

Error description

• In Windows 7, notesUIWorkspace.SaveFileDialog function cannot
  display default string when directoriesOnly parameter is set to
  True.
  This problem dooesn't occur in Windows XP.
  The customer request us to behave same way as Windows XP.
  
  Steps:
  1. Prepare Notes client on Windows 7
  2. Create hotspot button and set the following code.
  
  Sub Click(Source As Button)
   Dim ws As New NotesUIWorkspace
   Dim ls_dpath As String
   Dim var_file
   ls_dpath ="c:\temp"
   var_file = ws.SaveFileDialog(True, "Select Folder","" ,
  ls_dpath, ls_dpath)
  End Sub
  
  3. Click the button.
  
  It have to display default string "c:\temp".  However in Windows
  7, it become null.
  

Local fix

• Do not use Windows 7
  

Problem summary

• This APAR is closed as FIN. We have deferred the fix to a
   future release.
