Oracle Character Set WE8ISO8859P1 support for ClearQuest

Problem

Code page 28591 (ISO-8859-P1) (which corresponds to Oracle Character set WE81ISO8859P1) is not a character set which can be selected from the ClearQuest Maintenance tool when creating a schema repository. Starting with ClearQuest 7.1.1.1, ClearQuest can set the ClearQuest data code page of a schema repository to 28591 (ISO-8859-P1) by using the command "installutil setdbcodepage".

Symptom

As the ClearQuest administrator, you attempt to configure the ClearQuest data code page as 1252. However, you cannot since the round-trip testing of characters to the Oracle WE81ISO8859P1 database fails. An error message occurs in the ClearQuest Maintenance Tool stating that the database does not support the chosen character set.
