Error description

  • When creating a form in Domino Designer, there is a 32k limit on
the fields included on the form. This includes both fields
placed directly on the form and fields from subforms that are
    embedded in the form.

The limit does not mean 32k fields on the form. The limit is
due to the fact that a summary text item called $Fields is added
to the design element for the form. That item contains the
names of all of the fields and it has the standard 32k limit
that all summary data items do. So, the length of the names of
the fields is also a factor. Each character is 2 bytes. If
field names are 5 characters long on average, the limit would be
    around 3200 fields per form.
