Error description

  • Customer runs a manual NSD and it hangs the Domino server. The
    behavior appears
to occur in either one of the following two ways:

At times when the NSD runs it appears to kill the Domino server
    process as can
be seen via the Domino server console log:

     [274718:01974-07454] 07/12/2011 20:34:24 Established passthru
    session for
    Bobby/Company to MAIL3/Company via TCPIP
     /opt/lotus/bin/server[1154]:274718 Killed

Other times, it hangs in the memcheck section of the NSD which
    causes the
server to become unresponsive until memcheck finally errors out
    after a lengthy
timeframe and moves on with the NSD execution.

Local fix

  • Execute the NSD with the -nomemcheck option.
