Data is truncated to 100 characters in the SQL Results view if the result set returned from a stored procedure has more than 100 characters or if there is binary column data to display.

Troubleshooting

Problem

In some cases, the preference for "Maximum bytes to retrieve for character or binary column" on the Data Management >SQL Results View preference page behaves as if it is set to 100 in DSD2.1 and ODS 2.2 even if it is not. You will see this problem when the result set that is returned from a stored procedure contains data that has more than 100 characters or binary column data to display. If the result set data is greater than 100 characters, an ellipsis [...] button is enabled and the first 100 characters of the data is displayed in the pop-up dialog.
