Error description
Loop re-dispatching the same work element (RPH) on the NCB PC PAB (ISTTSCWS). RPH is not being processed because flag ICNWQFLG is on. It appears that there was an abend in OEM code earlier that caused ICNWQFLG to be left on.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All using LOCAL SNA connections. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An ABEND occurs while processing in * * ISTTSCWS. VTAM is then in an infinite * * loop redispatching the NCB PC PAB * * (ISTTSCWS). * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Module ISTTSCWS was called while processing under a TSOP. An ABEND occurred after ISTTSCWS set ICNWQFLG on. Module ISTZRM01 was called for error recovery. Module ISTZRM01 hit an ABEND0C4 while saving the UCB prefix for the channel being recovered. The ABEND in ISTZRM01 caused ISTAPCFR to gain control and do further error recovery. The various abends caused the NCB to be cleaned up for this channel. The NCB PU PAB was cleaning up and queued it's running RPH to the NCB PC PAB. ISTTSCWS (NCB PC PAB) was dispatched with the RPH as a WKE. Since ICNWQFLG was left on do to the earlier abend, the module exits without removing the RPH WKE from the PAB. When ISTTSCWS exits, PSS reschedules the PAB to be dispatched. This is an infinite loop since the RPH is never removed from the PC PAB work queue.
Problem conclusion
Module ISTZRM01 has been modified to turn ICNWQFLG off during error recovery. This will prevent the infinite loop in the NCB PC PAB. Module ISTZRM01 has been modified to remove code which was saving off the UCB prefix during error recovery. This code was unnecessary and has been deleted.
