    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Information requests for *
    * multivolume striped data sets *

    *                      tracks allocated.                       *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply PTF when available. *
    ****************************************************************
    When multivolume striped data sets have a large number of
    extents on the first and second volumes, information requests
    from option 3.2 and 3.4 may show a very large number of
    allocated tracks because the numbers used for reading a new
    format three DSCB were not reinitialized after obtaining
    information from the first volume.

Problem conclusion

  • The values used for finding all of the extents are now being
    reinitialized for each volume.
