Troubleshooting
Problem
User performs a data import (via importing from flat file / CSV).
Afterwards, user checks the data in the system. Unfortunately the system ignored the comma
- For example "1200,45" became 120045
Customer has checked that:
- the regional settings are set to be "German"
- the Import Specifications are correctly configured too
- Excel is configured to use 'system operators'
However, none of the above solve the problem.
Why do the numbers look incorrect (for example in Excel reports)?
Symptom
For example, imagine an import specification (for a flat file) which has been configured with 'correct' German settings:
However, Excel-reports show values without the comma (1200,45 becomes 120045).
- Digit Group Symbol: '.' (full stop)
- Decimal Symbol: ',' (comma)
However, Excel-reports show values without the comma (1200,45 becomes 120045).
