Problem
Attempts to install the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 .NET component in IBM Rational ClearCase Remote Client 7.1.x.x results in error, Failed to extract zip com.ibm.rational.cmdotnet.cc-cq-wan 1.0.0.7-1-IM-D080912.
Symptom
Installing IBM Rational ClearCase Remote Client 7.1.x.x with the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 .NET component selected fails and the installation is rolled back.
The full error message is as follows:
Failed to extract zip com.ibm.rational.cmdotnet.cc-cq-wan 1.0.0.7-1-IM-D080912. File C:\Program Files\Common Files\Rational\ClearCase\CCVSI\bin\ActivityPage.dll already exists.
