**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: zDMF customer with Hitachi devices * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Customer is migrating data sets * * residing on Hitachi DASD devices. * * During migration, a Hitachi * * specific channel command, X'83' * * is issued to the device. zDMF * * does not recognize the Hitachi * * channel command and issues message * * GZD3110I and rejects the command * * and suspends the group. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply PTF and CLOSE start zDMF. * **************************************************************** zDMF does not support proprietary Hitachi channel commands.
Problem conclusion
GZDCSCAn is modified to support Hitachi channel command x'83' - Hitachi Diagnostic channel command.
