"License server system does not support this feature" when importing license for Rational Performance Tester

Troubleshooting


Problem

"UNSUPPORTED" or "BLANK" feature FLEXlm errors occur in IBM Rational License key Server after importing a new Virtual Tester license for IBM Rational Performance Tester (RPT).

Symptom

You have imported a Virtual Tester license into IBM Rational License Key Administrator or manually pasted the INCREMENT block for the license into the license.dat file. After doing so, you see the following messages in the FLEXlm lmgrd.log file.

Although you seem to have imported the license key successfully, you cannot run tests with more than five (5) Virtual Users. The error messages in the lmgrd.log file show that the various Virtual Tester features are not supported or show blank features messages.
