OA07625: BIND FAILS WITH 10010021 BECAUSE THE CURRENT HOP COUNT IS GREATER THAN THE MAX HOP COUNT IN THE RSCV.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Problem occurs when a session traverses an HPR pipe over a VRTG
  and then crosses an ICL to a Border Node and the SLU resides on
  that Border node at the end of the ICL. If the SLU is moved one
  hop beyond the border node the session will setup ok. For the
  problem to occur the hpr pipe over the VRTG has to end at the
  ICN and a second pipe is brought up over the ICL to the border
  node.

  Note: The fix for this APAR needs to be applied to the
  intermediate VTAM, ICN2 in this case.
  

Local fix

• move the slu to another node beyond the Border node.

  Bind from the PLU fails in ICN2 because it contains an
  RSCV with the current hop count greater than the maximum
  hop count. Sense code 10010021 is issued out of module
  ISTSXCKI
  

Problem conclusion

• Module ISTSSCOC has been change to not increment the
  current hop count in the case above.
