    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Optimizer trace messages, for example: *
    *                        ==OPT==> UNDERLIMIT VALUE NUMBER      *
    *                                 COUNTER ZEROED               *
    *                      are inserted into the pseudo-assembler  *
    * listing generated by the LIST option. *
    * Such trace messages should appear only *
    * if an internal debugging control *
    * statement is specified, but some *
    * messages were always being emitted. *
    *                                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF. *
    *                                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Optimizer trace messages should be conditional on the presence
    of an internal debugging control statement, but some messages
    were emitted even when this statement was not specified.

Problem conclusion

  • The optimizer was changed to make all trace messages conditional
    on the presence of the appropriate debugging control statement.
