Error description
Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v8.5.1: When editing a copybook file if COPY is used in a field name within (as ''A'-COPY'), LPEX editor wrongly marks it with this annotation ''TextNameLiteral' expected after this token.' *************************************************************** Local fix: None
Local fix
Problem summary
When the real time syntax parser for COBOL encounters the text "COPY", it treats it at the start of a copy statement, and reports syntax errors if it does not meet the requirements of a copy statement. This happens even if there is not a space character prior to the "COPY" text, which is required by the language specification.
Problem conclusion
The real time syntax parser for COBOL will now only treat the word COPY as the start of a copy statement if the character preceding it is a space. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.5.1.5 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
