Error description

  • Headline/Abstract (128 Character limit - 2 lines of 64 chars) :
    ***************************************************************
Rational Developer for System z (RDz) 8.5.1.2: When creating a
view in the CARMA repositories view, the new name is malformed.

APAR Error Description (unlimited lines of 64 chars):
    ***************************************************************
Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v8.5.1.2: In CARMA
repositories view, when creating a new view, the view name
is wrongly composed with the concatenation of both fields
'Element' and 'Processor group'. It is then impossible to modify
using the 'Change view...' action (it will pop up a wizard where
the 'Processor Group' is empty, while the 'Element' field is
    filled in.

    Recreation steps:
    - open the New Endevor view wizard,
    - fill in the following fields:
    Environment with 'A'
    System with 'B'
    Subsystem with 'C'
    Type with 'D'
    Element with 'E'
    Stage with 'F'
    and Processor group with 'G'

The view name will be defined as:

    ENV:A,SYS:B,STGID:F,SUBSYS:B,TYPE:D,ELEM:EPGROUP:G

    instead of

    ENV:A,SYS:B,STGID:F,SUBSYS:B,TYPE:D,ELEM:E,PGROUP:G
    (an additional comma after 'ELEM:E')

    - right click and select 'Change view', the processor group
    is empty
    ***************************************************************
    Local fix:
A workaround is to add a comma at the end of the field
'Element' during the creation process. For instance, if you
want to define the Element filter with 'PROG*', fill in that
    field with 'PROG*,'.

    the processor group input field.

    ****************************************************************
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: As the filter was created, a comma was not
added prior to adding the value for the processor group.
The comma serves as the field separator for the filter.
    ****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

Problem Resolution: Updated code to add the comma separator as
needed. No new messages or publication updates were introduced.
