PH18737: SCI REGISTRATION FAILS WHEN IMS PROGRAMS ARE FOUND IN THE JOBLIB, STEPLIB, OR LNKLST

Error description

• When Administration Tool tries to access DBRC, SCI registration
  fails. It occurs when IMS programs are found in the JOBLIB,
  STEPLIB, or LNKLST.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Administration Tool ISPF and web    *
  *                      interface issue a message FABX0542E     *
  *                      and the z/OS back-end issues two        *
  *                      messages DSP1136A and DSP1188A          *
  *                      when IMS programs are found in the      *
  *                      JOBLIB, STEPLIB, or LNKLST.             *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *

  The Administration Tool ISPF and web interface issue a message
  FABX0542E and the z/OS back-end issues two messages DSP1136A
  and DSP1188A when the following condition is satisified:
  
  - IMS programs are found in the JOBLIB, STEPLIB, or LNKLST
  
  In this case, Administration Tool does not set up the SCI user
  exit (DSPSCIX0) library which is specified in the STEPLIB of
  DBRC region. SCI registration fails because DBRC API does not
  call the SCI user exit.
  

Problem conclusion

• IMS Administration Tool has been fixed as follows:
  
  - Administration Tool always sets up all of libraries which are
    specified in the STEPLIB of DBRC region before RECON access
  
  However, the IMSPLEX= and DBRCGRP= keywords are still
  unsupported.
