PH18676: SMF RECORD 72 SUBTYPE 3, REPORTS VERY HIGH CPUTIME FOR MOBILE TRANSACTIONS.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• SMF 72 records contain abnormally high values for CPU time
  for Mobile transactions.  Customer was getting messages like
  "MOBILE CPU DATA EXCEEDS PRODUCT USAGE."  It was discovered
  that IMS did a Delta calculation correctly for TIMEONCP, but
  did not do it correctly for CPUTIME.

  CPUTIME contains the total CPU time for the current work
  request.  IMS is not resetting the value at each new work
  request.  Instead it contains the total CPU time since the TCB
  was created.
  
  The CPUTIME is used by the Resouce Measurment Facility (RMF) to
  monitor workload activity.  RMF is writing System Management
  Facility (SMF) record 72 subtype 3 to report the CPUTIME.
  

Problem conclusion

• IMS is modified to calculate CPUTIME for each work request.
