Error description
The following problems, common to V230 and V240, will be fixed: - If the INSTALL process is performed in DBCTL environment, IOH5505E message is issued and an INSTALL error is taken. - If a process, such as an SMF exit, which getmains and freemains storage is performed in the address space in which HP Sysgen is run, HP Sysgen Tools may end with ABENDS878. - If installing a resource update list that specifies only ACB reload entries, which has the HP Sysgen ACB reload method, for a group that defines multiple IMS systems existing in the same IMSPlex in the Global Online Change environment, IOHE019 and IOH3002E messages are output and an INSTALL error is taken. - If installing a resource update list that specifies only ACB reload entries, which has the IMS ACB member level global online change method, for a group that defines multiple IMS systems existing in the same IMSPlex in the Global Online Change environment, IOH4722E message is output and an INSTALL error is taken. - If the IMS ACB member level global online change method is used and the INIT OLC command fails, the response from IMS is only partially output. - IOH4307E message is incorrectly set to Error message even though it is an Information message. - If HP Sysgen Tools reloads a large number of ACBs using the IMS ACB Member Level Global Online Change method, the INIT OLC command may not complete within the default timeout value, 300 seconds. However, HP Sysgen Tools does not provide a way to change the timeout value. If a timeout occurs, IOH4722E and CSLN030W messages are output and an INSTALL error is taken. The following problems, unique to V240, will be fixed: - On panel IOHVIEW1, if you select Option 4 and Resource 4, it either hangs or gets an S0C4 ABEND. - When using IOHSAMP(IOHSTF) to initialize the VSAM STFWD dataset for the new version of IMS HP SYSGEN, an S0C4 abend occurs.

Therefore, IMS HP Sysgen Tools incorrectly determined that the RTCODE resource definition existed in spite of no RTCODE resource definition. 2.IMS HP Sysgen Tools subtask was using an invalid subpool number to getmain a storage, so other products reused the storage before IMS HP Sysgen Tools main task references it. As a result, the HP Sysgen Tools issued GETMAIN macro using the wrong information and ABENDS878 occurred. 3.There was a problem in the INSTALL process of ACB Reload only. 4.There was a problem in the INSTALL process of ACB Reload only. 5.There was a problem in the process of parsing IMS command response in XML format. 6.The constant of the message definition was incorrect. 7.IMS HP Sysgen Tools performs IMS member level global online change using IMS INIT OLC command. IMS HP Sysgen Tools used the default timeout value to issue an IMS INIT OLC command, so a large amount of ACB reload caused a timeout. 8.There was a problem in the way of referring to IMS HP Sysgen Tools internal information. 9.IMS HP Sysgen Tools used incorrect length for initializing an area.
