Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Db2 Administration Tool for         *
  *                 z/OS who use the line command                *
  *                 RD - 'Regenerate a DBRM member'.             *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1- Message BND2706S with symptom        *
  *                      ONCODE 8094 / ONCODE8094 may occur      *
  *                      during RD processing.                   *
  *                      2- Message BND2177I may be issued when  *
  *                      attempting to process certain DBRM      *
  *                      regenerates.                            *
  ****************************************************************
  1- If the Admin Tool STEPLIB is APF authorized, this
     may trigger message BND2706S and ONCODE 8094 error.
  2- Only packages created by the 'Bind Package' command
     can have their DBRMs regenerated by using the 'RD' line
     command. These packages have a package type of blank.
     An attempt to regenerate a DBRM for a package whose type
     is not blank may return a misleading message, BND2177I,
     indicating the package was originally created prior to
     DB2 V2.3.
  

Problem conclusion

• The issues have been resolved.
  
  1- The BND2706S error no longer occurs with APF authorized
     steplibs;
  2- An appropriate message, BND2179E, is issued if the package
     is not an appropriate candidate for DBRM regeneration.
