APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Envelope values were updated from ISA12=00403 and ISA11=5D] to
ISA12=00401.  When saving changes the ISA11 was changed to 0
instead of U.

Circumvention: Manually change the value to 'U'.

Problem summary

  • ISA11 Value not Updated Properly after Switching ISA12 (Version)
 from 00403 or Higher to 00401.

Problem conclusion

  • Dynamically change the value of X12 envelope ISA11 field when
the ISA12 version field crosses the boundary between the
Interchange Control Standards Identifier and the Repetition
Separator. Crossing to 00402 and above, convert the ISA11
character to a hex value for the drop down box. Crossing to
00401 and below, convert the ISA11 hex value to a character for
the input box.
